Mutton Busting
This event is a fun crowd favorite. For those of you who have never seen Mutton Busting, it goes like this: Sheep are loaded in the bucking chutes just like the bucking horses and bulls. The “Little Buckaroos” are loaded on their lamb and when they’re ready to ride, the chute is opened and away they go. The kids are timed and judged just like their big cowboy counterparts. $40.00 Entry Fee
Participant Requirements:
MUST be 6 years of age or younger.
MUST be under 65 pounds.
MUST have a release signed by a parent or legal guardian(s).
Western rodeo dress code is required for all participants.All participants are required to furnish and wear a sturdy helmet (helmets range from snowboarding to lacross to bike)
No ropes allowed
Youth Steer Riding
Like Mutton Busting, Youth Steer Riding is a favorite for our younger rodeo fans who would also like to participate. Youth Steer Riding follows the same format as Mutton Busting, but is for older participants and uses smaller steers for “rough stock”. Stock provided by Rodeo Fever.
$40.00 Entry Fee
Participant Requirements:
MUST be between 7 & 9 years old and weigh no more than 85 pounds.
MUST have a release signed by a parent or legal guardian(s).
Western rodeo dress code is required for all participants.Helmets, rope and glove are at the option of the parent/legal guardian but are strongly encouraged. Spurs are optional.

Steer Riding
This event is great for the 9 to 13 year old rodeo fans who would like to participate. Steer riding follows the same format as Mutton Busting & Calf Riding, but is for the older youth participants and uses steers for “rough stock”. Stock provided by Rodeo Fever.

Jr. Barrels
Jr. Barrel contestants will register at the secretary trailer, outside the Contestant/North gate. Each contestant will receive free admission and one complimentary companion pass. Take these passes to the Contestant/North gate to gain entry. Stock provided by Rodeo Fever.
$27.00 Entry Fee.
